These terms and conditions govern your use of the Private AI Day website and services provided by Digital Signet Ltd ("we", "us", "our").
1. Services
Private AI Day is a hands-on workshop service where participants build a private AI assistant. The service includes:
- A full-day workshop at your location
- An encrypted SSD with pre-configured software
- PDF reference guide
- Post-workshop email support (duration varies by package)
2. Booking and Payment
Booking: Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment or a signed agreement for invoiced clients.
Pricing: All prices are quoted in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. VAT will be added at the prevailing rate for UK clients.
Payment: Payment is due in full before the workshop date unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
3. Cancellation and Refunds
By you:
- More than 14 days before: Full refund minus any non-recoverable costs
- 7-14 days before: 50% refund or reschedule at no charge
- Less than 7 days before: No refund, but may reschedule once (subject to availability)
By us: If we need to cancel, we will offer a full refund or alternative date at your choice.
Rescheduling: You may reschedule once with at least 7 days notice at no additional charge.
4. Workshop Requirements
Participants must provide:
- A laptop meeting minimum specifications (16GB RAM, Windows/Mac/Linux)
- Suitable workspace at your premises (for on-site delivery)
- Power outlets and internet access for initial setup
We will provide detailed requirements before the workshop.
5. Intellectual Property
Software: The AI system uses open-source software. You receive the right to use this software according to their respective licences (typically MIT, Apache 2.0, or similar permissive licences).
Materials: Workshop materials (guides, documentation) are provided for your personal/business use and may not be redistributed or resold.
Your data: Any documents you index during the workshop remain entirely yours. We do not access, copy, or retain your documents.
6. Hardware
The encrypted SSD provided becomes your property upon completion of the workshop. We provide no warranty on the hardware beyond the manufacturer's warranty (typically 3-5 years).
7. Support
Post-workshop support is provided via email during UK business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm). Support covers:
- Technical issues with the installed system
- Guidance on usage
- Troubleshooting common problems
Support does not cover: hardware failures, third-party software issues, or modifications you make to the system.
8. Limitation of Liability
We provide the workshop and software on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service
- We are not responsible for data loss, business interruption, or loss of profits
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
9. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when booking
- Ensure your laptop meets the specified requirements
- Use the service for lawful purposes only
- Not hold us responsible for how you use the AI system after the workshop
10. Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential. We will not disclose your business information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
11. Data Protection
Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
